Aloo Gobi Recipe
Punjabis and Sindhis are known to relish every dish made with potatoes. However, on of their favorite recipes is that of aloo gobi (potato and cauliflower). It can be made in a coupe of variations. Given here is an authentic aloo gobi recipe:
The ingredients:1 cauliflower chopped to medium size
4 potatoes chopped into medium size cubes
1 onion chopped length-wise
1 Teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
Salt to taste
½ Teaspoon turmeric powder
2 Teaspoon cumin powder
2 Teaspoon coriander powder
2 Teaspoon red chili powder
1 Teaspoon garam masala powder
Oil
Heat oil in the cooking dish and add the onions. Cook till it is golden brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste, stir for a few minutes. Then add the potato and stir till it blends into the onions and the paste. Cover till the potatoes are half cooked. Then add the cauliflower pieces. Then add all the spices and and mix properly. Then leave to cook for ten to fifteen minutes.
